A daycare where parents feel at home, too.

When you choose KiddieLand, you’re not only picking a place for your child – you’re joining a warm, diverse and inclusive community in the heart of Zurich, for your entire family.

Parents like you

All of our families value a similar foundation: a nurturing, bilingual environment and a thoughtful, well-grounded approach to early education.

Some have lived in Zurich their whole lives, while others are newer to Switzerland and are looking for a place that helps their child grow confidently into the Swiss system. What connects them is not where they come from, but the importance they place on quality, stability, and a strong start in these early years.

Many families stay because it simply feels like home. Whether you have deep roots in Zurich or are just beginning to build your life here, you will find a community of parents just like you.

A shared understanding of early childhood

The families in our community care deeply about these early years of their children’s lives.

There’s a shared understanding that childhood is not a sprint, but a foundation – a time to build confidence, independence, curiosity, and social ease.

That perspective shapes the atmosphere at KiddieLand. Parents value quality and consistency, and they appreciate an approach to early education that is thoughtful, balanced, and ageappropriate.

It’s a calm, steady start – one that feels safe and meaningful.

Languages and cultures as everyday life

The classrooms at KiddieLand reflect the diversity of Zurich itself.

Children come from Swiss and culturally diverse backgrounds, and many already grow up with more than one language at home. English and German are part of daily life here – used naturally in play, routines, books, songs, and conversations.

Over time, children become comfortable switching between languages and engaging with different cultures. It’s not something formal or forced; it simply becomes part of who they are. This is what makes KiddieLand an inclusive, diverse and open-minded space for all.

A connected parent community

Across the year we host KiddieLand events where children and parents connect, and where friendships often last well beyond daycare.

We have observed that our community doesn’t only exist inside the Kita walls – it continues wherever families connect. Many parents don’t simply do drop-off and pick-up; they build relationships that we happily support in different ways.

Over time, these connections grow in many small and meaningful ways. Here are some of the ways our parent community stays connected.

What to expect:

Community moments

Seasonal get-togethers

Especially during the holiday season we host cozy Christmas celebrations within our groups, with special guest appearances (shhh… it’s Samichlaus and Schmutzli!). Educators and children prepare lovely handmade gifts that parents can buy, with proceeds donated to charity. Giving back whenever we can is important to us.

Community moments

The annual SummerFest & Graduation

At KiddieLand we enjoy celebrating meaningful moments together. Over time, our SummerFest and Graduation ceremony has become a yearly tradition. Parents, grandparents, relatives and friends come together to celebrate our little ones’ milestones, share good food, enjoy each other’s company, and go home with a happy heart.

Staying connected

Marketplace & parent group chats on WhatsApp

Many parents have created group chats where they stay in touch, organize playdates, or arrange meet-ups after daycare or on weekends.

We also host a community marketplace on WhatsApp where families can buy, sell, and exchange children’s items.

Staying connected

Daily communication via our Childcare App

KiddieLand was one of the early daycare centers in Switzerland to adopt a specialized childcare app for daily communication with parents.

It allows us to maintain open, honest and transparent communication, while keeping parents informed about their child’s day and development.

Staying connected

Regular parent-teacher conferences & classroom observations

We value open and transparent dialogue.

Regular parent-teacher conferences give educators the opportunity to share their observations, while parents can ask questions and share their own experiences.

Together, we form a strong partnership with one shared goal: supporting a thriving child.

A smooth step into the Swiss school system

As children move on from our Pre-K or Kindergarten groups, they are well prepared for the next chapter.

Our approach is structured and thoughtful, and in the Kindergarten program we are guided by Lehrplan 21, Switzerland’s official educational framework.

Through daily routines, social learning, and growing independence, children develop the confidence and skills that support a smooth transition into Swiss public/private school.

The focus is simple: helping each child feel readyacademically, socially, and emotionally – for what comes next.
