At KiddieLand, we see nutrition as the foundation of early learning. The food children eat fuels their energy, shapes their mood, and sets the rhythm of their day. That’s why we’re proud to offer one of Zurich’s best nutrition programs – helping little ones build healthy habits from the very start.
Our mission is to nurture healthy eating habits that last a lifetime. From the very beginning, children at KiddieLand enjoy fresh, unprocessed foods, developing a natural taste for nourishing meals.
Our in-house kitchen is equipped with professional gastro technology and meets the highest HAACP hygiene standards. This setup ensures every meal is prepared with the greatest care and quality.
Originally from Greece, Chef Pavlos brings over a decade of international experience from Marriott hotels in Athens, Munich, and Saudi Arabia. Becoming a father in 2018 inspired him to dedicate his skills to children’s nutrition. Since 2020, he has made Zurich his home and now leads KiddieLand’s kitchen with passion and care.
Every meal at KiddieLand is carefully balanced and nutritious, prepared in line with the Swiss Nutrition Association and Green Fork Guidelines. With fresh, high-quality ingredients and everything made from scratch, we ensure children enjoy meals that are both wholesome and delicious. Here’s what you can expect:
Swiss and Bio meat & dairy: We prioritize locally-sourced, Bio-certified (Biosuisse or Demeter) meat and dairy products, ensuring that our children receive the highest quality nutrition.
Animal protein: Our selections include chicken, beef/veal, and fish, all carefully chosen for their nutritional benefits.
Fruits and vegetables: We source fruits and vegetables with a strong preference for Bio, locally-sourced produce. If necessary, we select Bio produce from neighboring countries like Italy or Spain to ensure freshness and quality.
Varied protein sources: Three of our weekly meals are based on animal protein, while the other two focus on vegetable protein or dairy, offering a balanced approach to nutrition.
Fresh, not frozen: Our freezer stays nearly empty - we choose fresh ingredients whenever possible and prepare everything from scratch. Even snacks and sides are homemade, from dips to hummus to salad dressings.
Seasonal menus: In fall and winter, meals often start with a warm soup or salad. In spring and summer, we serve light, vibrant salads with homemade dressings.

For our youngest children, we prepare fresh baby purées daily, tailored to their needs and preferences. Our baby group teachers work closely with Chef Pavlos to ensure even the tiniest members of KiddieLand enjoy the same high standard of nutrition and care.
We know how hard it can be for busy parents who value organic, healthy food to find the time to cook at home. That’s why we offer Family Boxes – freshly prepared, ready-to-serve dinners you can take home and enjoy with your family.
Sustainability is at the heart of our kitchen. Ingredients arrive in reusable packaging – like glass milk bottles and IFCO crates – and are portioned to order. Any unserved meals are shared with our staff, and remaining food waste is responsibly recycled as organic waste.
Experience the difference
We believe good food shapes happy days and healthy futures. That’s the promise we bring to every plate at KiddieLand.

For nearly a decade, our partnership with PicoBio has been built on trust and shared values. Like us, they are a family-run business committed to supporting local organic farmers. With deliveries three times a week, our ingredients arrive fresh and need little storage – never frozen. Most are even traceable back to the farmer, ensuring transparency and quality in every meal.
For many years, our partnership with Dörig Brandl – the family behind Frisch-Fisch Mercato – has been built on trust and shared values. Supplying some of Zurich’s finest restaurants, they deliver to us once a week, providing fish that is ready to cook within 24 hours. This means our dishes are always fresh, of the highest quality, and prepared with the best possible nutrition in mind.

Interactive Areas: Classrooms are divided into zones that encourage exploration and group activities, facilitating open-ended projects and collaborative learning.
Diverse Materials: Art supplies, natural elements, and recycled materials are readily available to inspire creativity and hands-on experiences.
Dynamic Displays: Children’s artwork and projects are displayed throughout the classroom, reflecting their interests and achievements in an ever-evolving manner.

Our learning environment is also deeply inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which fosters creativity, collaboration, and a strong sense of community. We bring this approach to life through:

In our infant and toddler classrooms we embrace the Pikler approach, which highlights the importance of self-directed play and freedom of movement. Our spaces are thoughtfully arranged to reflect this philosophy:
Climbing Structures: Encouraging physical exploration and helping children develop motor skills at their own pace.
Sensory-Rich Materials: Items like wooden blocks and sensory balls are accessible on low shelves, inviting independent play and movement.
Natural, Simple, Passvie Toys: We use open-ended, adaptable toys that support the development of autonomy and confidence.
By designing our classrooms to invite curiosity, we allow each child to engage with their environment in ways that suit their individual needs and interests.
